The situation

How brands become interchangeable

Most weak brands are not badly designed. They are unclear, and the drift usually happens the same way.

Nobody can explain the difference

Ask five people internally what makes you the better choice and you get five answers. Prospects therefore get none.

Messaging invented per channel

The website, the deck and the ads each say something slightly different, so nothing accumulates in anyone's memory.

A design system nobody follows

Guidelines exist as a PDF nobody opens. Every new asset drifts a little further from the last.

What it is

Brand as a decision-making tool

Brand identity is not a logo. It is the set of decisions that make everything downstream easier: what you stand for, who you are for, how you describe it, and what it looks and sounds like.

Done properly it is the most leveraged work in marketing, because every ad, page and sales call afterwards is cheaper and more effective when the positioning underneath is clear.

We work from evidence — customer and sales interviews, competitor analysis, category conventions — rather than from taste, then document the result so your team can apply it without asking us.

What's in scope

  • Customer, sales and stakeholder interviews
  • Competitor and category analysis to find genuine white space
  • Positioning: who you are for, and why you over the alternatives
  • Messaging architecture from one-line pitch down to proof points
  • Tone of voice with real before-and-after examples
  • Visual identity direction: colour, type, imagery and layout system
  • Brand guidelines built to be used, not admired
  • Rollout support across web, sales and campaign assets
How we help

What you get out of it

Clarity that makes every other marketing euro work harder, and a system your team can run themselves.

A defensible position

A clear answer to why you rather than the alternative, grounded in what customers actually said.

One consistent story

The same message from ad to website to sales call, so it compounds in memory instead of resetting.

A visual system that scales

Components and rules rather than fixed templates, so new assets stay on-brand without a designer in the loop.

Guidelines people use

Practical documentation with examples and edge cases, written for the people who will actually apply it.

This is a good fit if

  • Prospects struggle to explain what makes you different
  • You have grown past the point where founders can carry the message
  • Decision-makers can commit to workshops and firm decisions
  • You are entering a new market or category

This is the wrong fit if

  • You want a logo refresh with no strategy underneath it
  • Nobody senior can commit to making the positioning decisions
  • You need immediate lead generation — start with paid
  • The real problem is the product, not how it is described

Brand Identity FAQ

Usually not. Most of the value sits in positioning, messaging and the system around the logo. We will say plainly if the mark itself is genuinely holding you back, but we do not redesign for the sake of it.

We start from commercial positioning and end at execution, and we stay accountable for how the brand performs in campaigns afterwards. A pure design engagement usually ends when the files are delivered.

Roughly three workshops of two to three hours, plus review cycles. Positioning cannot be delegated — it needs the people who can actually decide.

That is common and usually productive. The research gives you an external reference point, so the decision rests on what customers said rather than on who is most senior in the room.
